We will waive all issued rulings and end the dispute in this blessed month and these blessed days… May God forgive what has passed.”.

Al-Hilal threatens Al-Nassr with an official complaint in the Abdullah Al-Hamdan case
Reports reveal Al-Hilal's intention to escalate the situation against Al-Nasr if it is proven that they signed Abdullah Al-Hamdan, in a possible repeat of the famous Mohammed Kanno crisis scenario.

Tensions are escalating between Riyadh's two giants, Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr, with reliable press reports revealing serious moves within Al-Hilal to consider filing an official complaint against their arch-rivals. The potential case revolves around suspicions that Al-Nassr signed Al-Hilal striker Abdullah Al-Hamdan during the protected period of his existing contract with the club, a move considered a clear violation of local and international player transfer regulations.
According to sources, Al-Hilal's legal department, under direct orders from the club's management, is closely monitoring the situation and gathering all necessary evidence and information. Reports indicate that Al-Hilal will not hesitate to take all legal measures to protect its contractual rights should these reports prove true, in a proactive step aimed at preventing a recurrence of past scenarios that have impacted the team's stability.
Recalling the famous case of Mohammed Kano
This move immediately brings to mind the famous case of player Mohamed Kanno, which set a significant legal precedent in Saudi football. In that case, Kanno renewed his contract with Al-Hilal after having already signed a preliminary agreement with Al-Nassr, prompting the latter to file an official complaint. The case resulted in Al-Hilal being banned from registering new players for two consecutive transfer windows, in addition to Kanno being suspended for four months and being ordered to pay compensation. It seems that Al-Hilal has learned its lesson well and is now seeking to be the one to initiate the complaint to protect its rights and prevent any violations against its players who are under valid contracts.
Expected impact on the player's future and the league
This case, if it escalates, represents a new turning point in the historic rivalry between the two major clubs, a rivalry that extends beyond the pitch to the transfer market and the race to sign top stars. If Al-Nassr is found guilty, it could face severe penalties, including a ban on registering new players for one or two transfer windows, in addition to financial fines. This would significantly impact its future plans to strengthen its squad. Furthermore, this crisis could affect the professional career of player Abdullah Al-Hamdan himself, placing him in a precarious position between the two clubs. This incident highlights the importance of respecting contracts within the Saudi Professional League, which strives to establish world-class professional standards to attract more investment and international stars.
