Compared to last year, camel sales have declined
The number of deals for the Crown Prince Camel Festival in its current sixth edition has decreased by about 86 camels compared to the fifth edition last year.
The number of camel deals at the Crown Prince Camel Festival, in its current sixth edition, has decreased by approximately 86 camels compared to the fifth edition last year. The festival's organizing committee revealed today that camel sales at this sixth edition have exceeded 377 million riyals, with over 700 deals concluded between camel owners participating from within and outside the Kingdom, as well as businessmen and investors in the camel racing sector, from last August until the beginning of September.
The Executive Director of the Saudi Camel Racing Federation, Engineer Mahmoud Al-Balawi, expressed his pride in the development and unprecedented record-breaking numbers witnessed in the sixth edition of the festival, as if the festival was competing with itself year after year.
Al-Balawi explained that what the camel transfer markets witnessed in this edition and the large millions of figures confirm the strength of this festival, and that it has become a primary destination for all camel owners from the Atlantic to the Gulf. He said, “The sales reaching this large number is due to the increased strength of competition among owners and the transformation of this ancient sport into an industry and investment, in addition to increasing the number of races and participating camels.”.
The Executive Director of the Saudi Camel Racing Federation expressed his gratitude to the wise leadership - may God protect them - for the great attention and material and moral support given to the camel racing sector, which contributed to achieving successes in the sport of fathers and grandfathers. He said: “The current edition is witnessing generous patronage from the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz - may God protect him - who was and still is the main and most important supporter in achieving the prosperity of the camel racing sector and its reaching the world stage. He hopes for the entry of the private sector as a partner in the success of the festival and the endeavor to develop and increase these partnerships.”.
He continued: “I also want to thank the Minister of Sports, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, and the President of the Federation, Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, for their constant care and follow-up and for providing all means of success for this festival.”.
It is worth noting that a similar press release issued last year indicated that during the fifth edition, producers and investors in the camel sector concluded about 786 deals worth more than a quarter of a billion riyals.

Real Madrid's absences against Celta Vigo: The list of injured players after the Getafe loss
Find out which Real Madrid players are confirmed to be absent before their La Liga clash against Celta Vigo. Details on Mbappé and Bellingham's injuries and the team's situation after their loss to Getafe.
Real Madrid's coaching staff faces a significant tactical and psychological challenge as the team prepares for a potentially tricky away match against Celta Vigo on Friday evening in the latest round of La Liga fixtures. This match comes at a particularly critical time for the capital club, which is grappling with a complex situation compounded by recent poor results and a spate of injuries that have severely impacted the squad.
Real Madrid enters this match burdened by the wounds of their unexpected defeat against Getafe in the last round, a loss that raised many questions about the team's mental and physical readiness at this crucial stage of the season. The Celta Vigo match takes on added importance, as Real Madrid has no option but to win and secure the three points to compensate for their recent setback, regain the fans' confidence, and ensure they remain in the fierce competition for the league title, especially since any further loss of points could complicate their position in the standings.
Real Madrid's confirmed list of absentees
The team's biggest dilemma lies in the long list of confirmed absences affecting key players across all positions. The confirmed absence of the attacking force of French star Kylian Mbappé and Englishman Jude Bellingham deprives the team of significant individual and collective options in the attacking third. The woes don't end there; they extend to promising young players and defenders, with Franco Mastantono , Miguel Gutiérrez , and Dean Hoesen , in addition to Brazilian defensive stalwart Éder Militão . This severely limits the coach's options and forces him to find makeshift solutions in the starting lineup.
Doubts surround the defense and midfield
Meanwhile, the medical staff is racing against time to determine the availability of several other players whose participation remains highly uncertain. The coaching staff is awaiting final reports and medical tests to ascertain the fitness of Raúl Asensio , French midfielder Eduardo Camavinga , and Austrian defender David Alaba . The availability of these players is considered a potential lifeline for bolstering the squad before their trip to Vigo.
The impact of absences on the course of the competition
Historically, matches between Real Madrid and Celta Vigo at Balaídos Stadium are fiercely contested and exciting, with visitors often struggling against the passionate Celta fans. With this significant number of absences, the test becomes even more daunting, as Real Madrid must demonstrate their champion's character and live up to the motto "Real Madrid with whoever is available." Successfully overcoming this hurdle will send a powerful message to rivals both domestically and in Europe that the team can withstand pressure despite being short-handed, while any other negative result could plunge the team into a dark period of doubt that could derail the entire season.

Ronaldo's trip to Madrid raises doubts ahead of Al-Nassr vs. Neom match
Reports reveal that Ronaldo's plane has traveled to Madrid, raising doubts about his participation with Al-Nasr against Neom in the Roshan League, amid anticipation of the Don's situation after his recent injury.

International media reports on Tuesday sparked controversy and anticipation in Saudi Arabian sporting circles after the revelation that Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of Al-Nassr FC, had unexpectedly traveled to the Spanish capital, Madrid. The British newspaper "The Sun" reported that Ronaldo's private jet was spotted departing the Saudi capital, Riyadh, for Madrid on Tuesday morning, fueling speculation about the reasons for this brief visit and its sensitive timing.
The British newspaper detailed the flight's itinerary, citing data from the flight tracking website Flightradar24. It noted that the flight path included a notable turn towards Egyptian airspace before reaching its final destination in Spain. While reports did not definitively confirm whether Cristiano Ronaldo and his family were on board or if the flight was for other purposes, the timing of the trip raised concerns among Al-Nassr fans.
Ronaldo's stance on the Al-Nassr vs. Neom summit
This news comes at a critical time for Al-Nassr, who are preparing for a tough match against Neom next Saturday in the 25th round of the Saudi Professional League. Al-Nassr will be looking to solidify their lead at the top of the table and maintain their points advantage amidst fierce and relentless pressure from their traditional rivals, Al-Ahli and Al-Hilal, who are poised to capitalize on any slip-up by the league leaders to close the gap and seize the top spot.
Cristiano Ronaldo's participation in this crucial match remains uncertain, especially since he has been undergoing intensive rehabilitation in recent days to recover from the injury he sustained in the previous game against Al-Fayha. The coaching staff and fans fear that this sudden trip could disrupt his treatment program or indicate that he is not yet fully fit for the upcoming match.
Ronaldo's impact and the importance of the current stage
There is no doubt that the absence of a player of Cristiano Ronaldo's stature and value will negatively impact the team's performance, given his significant leadership and technical role both on and off the pitch. Since joining the Saudi League, Ronaldo has brought about a tremendous transformation, not only in Al-Nassr's results but also in enhancing the league's global standing, making every match he plays a focus of international attention.
The match against Neom takes on added importance, as Neom is a rapidly rising sports project, and facing them requires complete readiness from all Al-Nassr players. Al-Nassr fans hope their captain will return to Riyadh quickly to complete his recovery and lead the team towards another step closer to winning the league title, in a season witnessing unprecedented competition among the top clubs.

Milan are negotiating with Matteo Retegui after his impressive performance with Al-Qadisiyah of Saudi Arabia
Italian reports have revealed AC Milan's interest in signing Al-Qadsia striker Matteo Retegui. Learn about the player's goal-scoring record this season and the details of the negotiations to bolster the Rossoneri's attack.

The Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport dropped a bombshell, revealing that AC Milan's management is actively pursuing and negotiating the signing of Italian international striker Matteo Rettigny. This move is part of the Rossoneri's strategy to bolster their attacking options with fresh blood possessing experience and a knack for scoring goals, in preparation for upcoming domestic and continental competitions.
The Lombardy club's interest in the 25-year-old striker stems from his impressive performances for Al-Qadisiyah this season. The statistics highlight Retegui's remarkable form, having scored 16 goals in 26 appearances – a scoring rate that reflects significant maturity and exceptional positioning in the penalty area, qualities that Milan has lacked at times this season.
Looking at the technical analysis of the player's performance, the statistics reveal a classic attacking tendency for a center forward; Retegui has taken 35 shots on goal, highlighting his constant threat to opposing goalkeepers. Although he has yet to register an assist, this statistic underscores his complete focus on finishing attacks and acting as the team's final link – qualities Milan seeks to convert chances into goals.
Historically, Milan has always sought a striker who combines physical strength with tactical intelligence, qualities possessed by Retegui, who has previously earned his place in the Italian national team, the Azzurri. This deal is particularly significant given Milan's desire to regain its European prestige and seriously compete for the Serie A title. Club officials believe that bringing back an Italian international striker playing in a strong and competitive league like the Saudi Professional League will be a valuable addition to the squad and provide the coach with a wider range of tactical options.
On the international stage, Retegui's impressive performances with Al-Qadisiyah and the continued interest from top European clubs in signing him are clear evidence of the tremendous development of Saudi football. Saudi Arabia has become a destination that not only preserves the technical value of its players but also maintains their readiness for national teams and major European clubs. AC Milan's management is currently working to finalize the deal quickly to preempt any potential competitors, especially since the striker is enjoying a period of exceptional form, making him a target for many clubs seeking effective attacking solutions.
