Ashour Al-Ahly under the microscope of Al-Akhdoud

Al Ahly of Egypt received an official letter yesterday (Wednesday) from Al-Akhdoud of Saudi Arabia requesting the determination of the financial value for agreeing to negotiate the signing of international midfielder Emam Ashour, as part of the Saudi club’s preparations to strengthen its ranks during the current summer transfer period.
According to Egyptian press reports, the letter came at a time that coincided with Al-Ahly's management beginning to review the terms of Imam Ashour's contract in preparation for amending it, in appreciation of the remarkable technical performance that the player has provided since joining the team.
Despite Al-Akhdoud's interest, estimates indicate that the chances of completing the deal remain slim, given Al-Ahly's technical staff's insistence on keeping Ashour, considering him one of the main pillars in the midfield, even after the return of Malian Aliou Dieng from loan, and the signing of Tunisian international Mohamed Ali Ben Ramadan.
It is worth noting that Al-Akhdoud finished last season in 15th place in the Saudi Professional League standings with 34 points, thus securing its place in the competition by only one point above the relegation zone.

Hamdallah after Al-Hilal's five-goal victory: The youth team is developing and we will come back stronger
Abderrazak Hamdallah's statements after Al-Shabab's 5-3 loss to Al-Hilal in the Roshan League. The Moroccan striker affirms the team's attacking improvement and promises to get back on track.
Following the fiery encounter between Al-Shabab and Al-Hilal, which ended with a resounding 5-3 victory for Al-Hilal, Moroccan star Abderrazak Hamdallah, Al-Shabab's striker, made important statements highlighting his team's performance and the future of the Lions in the Saudi Professional League.
In his post-match television interview, Hamdallah emphasized that the final score doesn't necessarily reflect the full technical aspects of the game. He explained that Al-Shabab delivered a heroic and highly competitive performance against a formidable opponent boasting a wealth of international stars. He added that scoring three goals against the league leaders and defending champions is a positive indicator of the team's growing attacking prowess.
Significant development under Ben Zekri's leadership
The Saudi league's all-time top scorer also spoke about the excellent work being done by the coaching staff, led by Algerian coach Noureddine Zekri. Hamdallah noted that the team is showing clear upward momentum, particularly in attack, where they are now able to create chances and score against even the strongest defenses, as was evident in the thrilling Riyadh derby.
The context of the competition and the strength of the Roshan League
This match, part of the 24th round, comes at a time when the Saudi Professional League is experiencing an unprecedented surge in quality on a global scale, with Saudi clubs now boasting some of the world's best players. Matches between Al-Hilal and Al-Shabab are always considered classics of Saudi football, characterized by fierce competition and historical excitement, regardless of the teams' positions in the league standings.
Al-Shabab has suffered from inconsistent results this season, placing them in a position unbecoming of their illustrious history as one of the four pillars of Saudi football. Hamdallah emphasized this point, asserting that the "Sheikh of Clubs" deserves a better standing. He added that the players are aware of the responsibility placed upon them and that there is a collective determination within the locker room to overcome this setback and return to winning ways in the remaining matches.
A message of reassurance to the youth fans
Hamdallah concluded his remarks with a message of optimism to the youth fans, stressing that the team has the character and capabilities to come back stronger, and that the loss against a team the size of Al-Hilal, despite its bitterness, revealed bright points that can be built on to correct the course and finish the season in a position befitting the club’s reputation.

Mohammed Al-Deayea criticizes Yassine Bounou after the Al-Hilal vs. Al-Shabab match
Find out why Mohammed Al-Deayea criticized goalkeeper Yassine Bounou after the Al-Hilal and Al-Shabab match in the Roshan League, and the details of his statements regarding the lack of communication with the defense.

Saudi goalkeeping legend and former Al-Hilal player, Mohammed Al-Deayea , directed explicit technical criticism at Moroccan international goalkeeper Yassine Bounou , the guardian of the "Leader's" goal, following the worrying defensive performance displayed by the team during the "Riyadh Derby" match against Al-Shabab Club, within the competitions of the twenty-fourth round of the Roshan Professional League.
Details of Al-Da'ayee's criticism of Yassine Bounou
In a detailed technical analysis on the "Our League is Different" program, the former world's most capped player pointed to a fundamental weakness that has recently emerged in the Moroccan goalkeeper's performance. Al-Da'ayee stated, "Yassine Bounou is clearly suffering from a crisis: a lack of effective communication with his fellow defenders. This silence and lack of direction is the primary reason behind the defensive disarray we've witnessed, leading to him conceding many easy goals recently, both in domestic and continental competitions.".
The importance of communication between the goalkeeper and the defense
Mohammed Al-Deayea's words carry significant weight in sporting circles, given his illustrious history of achievements and his extensive experience protecting the goal for Al-Hilal and the Saudi national team. Experts believe that in modern football, a goalkeeper's role extends beyond simply saving shots; he also acts as a "backside leader," possessing a comprehensive view of the field and directing defenders to close down gaps before the opponent can penetrate. Al-Deayea believes this is a quality Bono lacked in recent matches, resulting in poor defensive positioning.
The result of the match and its impact on the league
The match, played at Al-Shabab Stadium, was a high-scoring affair, with Yassine Bounou conceding three goals in a thrilling 5-3 victory for Al-Hilal. Despite the win and the three points, the number of goals conceded drew criticism from pundits and Al-Hilal fans, who are accustomed to a more solid defense.
With this resounding victory, Al-Hilal's points tally rose to 58, signaling the team's strong return to winning ways and regaining its footing in the Roshan League title race after a period of inconsistency that saw them temporarily lose their top spot. Al-Hilal's coaching staff hopes to address these defensive weaknesses to ensure they remain competitive for all available titles this season.
