Al-Qadisiyah Ramadan Iftar: Providing meals for those fasting and a community partnership with Zoho
The Al-Qadisiyah Ramadan Iftar initiative, in collaboration with Zoho and the Hidayah Association, has launched to provide meals for those fasting during Ramadan. Learn more about the program, which aims to serve 250 workers daily in Al-Khobar.

In an atmosphere of faith reflecting the spirituality of the holy month and the values of social solidarity, Al-Qadisiyah Saudi Club announced the launch of its annual charitable initiative, "Al-Qadisiyah Ramadan Iftar," dedicated to the "Iftar for the Fasting" project. This initiative will continue throughout the days of Ramadan and this year comes with an exceptional step through a strategic partnership with Zoho, a global leader in software solutions and cloud technologies, embodying a unique synergy between the sports and technology sectors to serve the local community in Al-Khobar.
Details of the initiative and accompanying programs
The initiative primarily aims to provide a daily communal iftar (fast-breaking meal) specifically for expatriate workers. The events are organized at the club's mosque in fruitful cooperation with the Hidayah Association for Da'wah, Guidance, and Community Awareness in Al-Khobar. The Ramadan iftar aims to provide meals for approximately 250 workers daily, in a gesture that reinforces the values of solidarity and compassion, and reflects the highest ideals of giving and social responsibility embraced by the long-established club.
The “Al-Qadisiyah Iftar” is not limited to serving food; it also includes a comprehensive program with an important educational component. A specialized preacher provides a simplified and accessible explanation of the correct rulings and etiquette of fasting in multiple languages to suit the attendees. To create a joyful and interactive atmosphere, daily cultural competitions are organized with incentive prizes for participants, contributing to the dissemination of knowledge in an enjoyable and purposeful way.
Sports clubs and the Kingdom's Vision 2030
This initiative gains particular significance when viewed within the context of the major transformation underway in Saudi sports under the umbrella of Vision 2030. Sports clubs are no longer merely arenas for athletic competition and championships, but have evolved into comprehensive social and cultural institutions that contribute to improving quality of life. Implementing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs is a cornerstone of modern club strategies, as they strive to strengthen national unity and serve the local community in all its diversity, a principle exemplified by Al-Qadisiyah Club through these events.
The impact of smart partnerships on the sustainability of charitable work
The partnership between Al-Qadisiyah Club, a global company like Zoho, and a specialized association like Hedayah stands out as a model of integrated roles between the sports sector, the private sector, and the non-profit sector (the third sector). This tripartite collaboration ensures the sustainability of charitable initiatives and enhances the quality of services provided to beneficiaries. Furthermore, the involvement of global technology companies in supporting local initiatives reflects a growing awareness of the importance of social investment and underscores that technology and sports can converge in the field of humanitarianism.
Promoting social integration
Targeting the working class during Ramadan carries profound humanitarian significance that transcends mere food provision. It contributes to their integration into Saudi society, fostering a sense of brotherhood and affection, which positively impacts the psychological and social well-being of this vital segment of the economic fabric. This initiative is an extension of Al-Qadisiyah Club's ongoing efforts to activate its leading role during religious and national seasons, thereby solidifying the principles of humanitarian and volunteer work and reaffirming that sports are a noble message that extends beyond the confines of the playing field to address the needs and aspirations of society.

Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the National Platform for Charitable Work, “Ihsan,” is preparing to hold its fourth annual ceremony honoring philanthropists this coming Friday. This prominent annual event celebrates a lifetime of continuous giving and recognizes the efforts of individuals and institutions who have generously contributed to supporting charitable and developmental projects across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Crown Prince’s patronage of this ceremony embodies the great attention that the wise leadership pays to the charitable and non-profit sector, as a fundamental pillar within the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. This sector has witnessed radical transformations that have moved it from traditional work to organized institutional work based on data and technology, which has contributed to maximizing the social and economic impact of donations, and ensuring that they reach their beneficiaries with ease and reliability.
The fourth edition of the event aims to highlight exemplary individuals, both citizens and residents, who have embodied the values of social solidarity, as well as showcase the tangible impact of their donations on improving the quality of life for beneficiaries. The event will also focus on highlighting the platform's impactful initiatives, most notably the "Ihsan Endowment Fund," a pioneering model for the sustainability of charitable work. This fund provides opportunities to contribute to investment endowments whose proceeds support diverse charitable causes on a permanent and ongoing basis.
Since its launch in 2021 with the support of the Saudi Data & Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), the “Ihsan” platform has successfully revolutionized the concept of digital donations. The figures indicate record-breaking success, with total donations through the platform exceeding SAR 14 billion, collected through more than 330 million donation transactions. This recognition underscores that giving is an authentic value deeply rooted in Saudi Arabian culture, and that the leadership is committed to empowering this sector to be an active partner in national development. Salman Relief inaugurates a central kitchen in Gaza to produce 3.6 million meals
The King Salman Relief Center launches the largest central kitchen in Gaza to distribute 3.6 million hot meals to displaced people in Deir al-Balah and al-Qarara, as part of the Saudi campaign to aid Palestine.
In a significant humanitarian initiative aimed at alleviating the suffering in the Gaza Strip, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center inaugurated a central kitchen for producing hot meals, as part of the Saudi popular campaign to aid the Palestinian people. This project, undertaken in cooperation with the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage, aims to distribute millions of meals in the areas most affected and densely populated with displaced persons.
Project details and production capacity
The center explained that the project focuses on developing and operating a fully equipped central kitchen in the Gaza Strip, with a production capacity of up to 24,000 hot meals daily. Full-scale distribution is scheduled to begin with the start of Ramadan 1447 AH, with a total target production of 3.6 million meals to be distributed directly to displaced and affected families, particularly in the Deir al-Balah and Qarara areas, which are home to thousands of families who have lost their homes.
Developmental and economic dimensions of the project
The central kitchen's role extends beyond simply providing food; it also has developmental dimensions aimed at supporting the struggling local economy in the Gaza Strip. The project relies on utilizing local resources and leveraging available capabilities within Gaza for food preparation and processing. It has created employment opportunities for 40 workers from the Gaza Strip, contributing to improving the income of affected families, strengthening their resilience, and promoting the principle of social solidarity by engaging charitable individuals in the act of providing food.
Sustainability of humanitarian work and quality standards
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center ensured the kitchen's continued operation even after the initial project phase ended, maintaining it as a permanent source of food support. All stages of preparation, production, and distribution adhere to the highest health standards to guarantee food safety, ensuring that hot, nutritionally balanced meals reach those most in need, especially children, women, and the elderly suffering from acute malnutrition.
The humanitarian context and the pioneering Saudi role
Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, Advisor at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of the Center, affirmed that the crisis in Gaza is one of the most severe humanitarian crises in modern history, noting that more than 90% of the population has fallen into extreme poverty due to the blockade and shortages of basic supplies. He added that this kitchen is the largest of its kind currently available to displaced people, serving more than 36,000 families simultaneously.
This launch is an extension of the air, sea, and land bridges and convoys directed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, since the beginning of the crisis. The Kingdom has dispatched more than 80 aircraft and dozens of relief ships, and resorted to airdrops of aid when land routes became impossible, reaffirming the Kingdom's unwavering commitment to supporting the Palestinian people under all circumstances.

Donations to the National Charity Campaign exceed 700 million through Ihsan
Donations to the National Campaign for Charitable Work in its sixth edition exceeded 700 million riyals through the Ihsan platform, with the support of the wise leadership and SDAIA technologies to promote social solidarity.
The National Campaign for Charitable Work, in its sixth edition, has achieved a new milestone that reflects the spirit of giving inherent in Saudi society, as the total donations have exceeded 700 million Saudi riyals as of today (Wednesday), through the national "Ihsan" platform for charitable work.
This campaign builds on the platform's continued success since its launch. Official data reveals that total public donations since its inception in 2021 have reached nearly 14.7 billion riyals, collected through more than 345.5 million donations, highlighting the significant public engagement with trusted charitable initiatives. This year alone, total donations have reached 1.298 billion riyals, underscoring the sustainability and growth of charitable work.
Generous support from the wise leadership
The sixth edition of the campaign received generous support from the wise leadership, with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Prime Minister, launching the campaign with two generous donations totaling 70 million riyals. This support reflects the leadership's approach to promoting the values of social solidarity and encouraging individuals and institutions to give back. Many major companies, commercial organizations, and non-profit institutions followed the leadership's lead by contributing millions in donations to support the platform's projects.
The role of "SDAIA" and digital transformation in charitable work
The Ihsan platform stands out as a pioneering model for leveraging technology to serve humanity, operating with the full support of the Saudi Data & Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA). The platform utilizes artificial intelligence and data technologies to maximize the impact of donations and ensure they reach their beneficiaries with the highest levels of efficiency and reliability. It operates under advanced digital governance and a Sharia committee that oversees all its activities to ensure compliance with Islamic law, thus strengthening donor confidence and establishing it as the premier destination for charitable work in the Kingdom.
Charitable work and the goals of Vision 2030
This success cannot be separated from the broader context of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which has given significant attention to the non-profit sector, aiming to increase its contribution to the GDP and enhance its social impact. The National Campaign for Charitable Work is one of the effective tools for achieving these goals, by providing official, secure, and user-friendly donation channels that connect donors with charitable opportunities in various fields, including health, education, social services, and relief, thus contributing to improving quality of life and community development.
