Egyptian artist Mohamed Ramadan announced the end of the dispute with the family of the child in which his son Ali was accused of assaulting him inside a famous club
Egyptian artist Mohamed Ramadan announced the end of the dispute with the family of the child in which his son Ali was accused of assaulting him inside a famous club in Sheikh Zayed City.
Mohamed Ramadan revealed the details of the reconciliation that took place in the presence of both parties and was held in a family atmosphere, as the artist posted a picture from the reconciliation session through his personal account on the social networking platform “Facebook”.
Mohamed Ramadan wrote: “All of the above is just rumors. Ali and Omar are brothers, and the reconciliation took place in a family atmosphere. Thank God, I gained a brother and sister, Mohamed Salem and Rola. May God perpetuate love and brotherhood always, and may God protect Omar for you and protect Ali and his brothers for me.”.
The reconciliation between the two parties comes after the juvenile court ruled in a session on May 15 in the city of Sixth of October in Egypt to place Mohamed Ramadan’s son in one of the social care homes, without specifying the duration, but the child was absent from the session.
The defense of Mohamed Ramadan's son confirmed that the reason for the child's absence is due to his health condition not allowing him to attend, after he suffered a health setback immediately upon learning of the session.
The incident dates back to September 2024, when a woman named Rula Abdullah, the manager of an advertising and publicity company, filed a report with the First of October police station, accusing the son of artist Mohamed Ramadan of assaulting her son Omar, who is 11 years old, a sixth-grade student at an international school in Sheikh Zayed.

In the photo, he sports a new haircut with the number "1" tattooed on his back, accompanied by his usual defiant caption: "Number One... Some people call me that, and it's given others a complex."
A veiled message at a crucial time
This post sparked a wide range of reactions and debate among both the public and critics. Its timing is significant because it coincided with several current drama stars announcing their top viewership ratings during Ramadan, leading many to interpret Ramadan's message as an indirect response to his rivals in the entertainment industry, implying that his position as "number one" remains unchanged even in his absence from the small screen.
The history of the "Number 1" title and marketing strategy
To understand the context of this event, we must go back a little. Mohamed Ramadan adopted the title "Number 1" as part of his artistic and marketing identity since the release of his hit song of the same name in 2018. Since then, this title has become his trademark and a constant source of controversy between supporters who see it as well-deserved confidence based on viewership and revenue figures, and detractors who see it as a form of arrogance. This latest post shows that Ramadan continues to solidify this image, using social media platforms as an effective tool to remain in the spotlight.
Between globalism and Egyptian identity
The controversy surrounding Mohamed Ramadan wasn't solely due to this photo; it was preceded by heated discussions following his recent musical collaboration with Lara Trump, filmed inside her Miami home. Despite criticism regarding the absence of the Egyptian flag in the music video, Ramadan responded firmly, affirming his unwavering pride in his Egyptian identity and his commitment to representing his country. He indicated that his international experience wouldn't end there, and that he was preparing to announce new global collaborations that would further solidify his presence beyond the Arab world.
The next bet: the film "Lion"
While audiences miss his presence in Ramadan dramas, Mohamed Ramadan is currently focusing on cinema, betting on a strong and distinctive comeback with his highly anticipated historical film "Asad" (Lion). Expected to be released during the Eid al-Fitr season of 2026, the film represents a significant leap forward in his career, as it is set in a historical context requiring extensive preparations. This explains his temporary absence from television dramas, allowing him to concentrate on delivering a cinematic work worthy of his fans' expectations.
In conclusion, Mohamed Ramadan proves once again that he is an artistic phenomenon that transcends the boundaries of traditional works, as he possesses the keys to the media game that enable him to remain the talk of the town, whether through a scene in a series, a song, or even just a picture and a hairstyle.

Elham Shaheen: I have the power of divorce and I had two abortions... Fiery statements
Ilham Shaheen sparks controversy with bold statements about demanding the right to divorce in her second marriage, revealing details of her two miscarriages, and prioritizing her career over motherhood. Full details here.
The renowned Egyptian actress Elham Shaheen once again topped search engines and social media platforms following a series of candid statements revealing previously hidden and sensitive aspects of her personal and marital life. These revelations came during her appearance on the program "Between the Lines" with journalist Yomna Badrawi, where the Egyptian star opened up to the public, speaking with unprecedented candor about the conditions of her marriage and her crucial decisions regarding motherhood.
The condition of "infallibility" and second marriage
In a revelation that surprised many, Elham Shaheen confirmed that in one of her marriages, she agreed to be a second wife, but only under one exceptional condition guaranteeing her complete freedom: that she retain divorce . She justified this condition by stating her desire to have the power to end the relationship and separate at any moment she felt uncomfortable or unstable, without having to navigate the complexities of traditional divorce proceedings.
Shaheen explained that her husband agreed to this difficult condition due to his deep attachment to her, but the relationship was short-lived. She indicated that a lack of understanding and differing personalities hastened the decision to separate, which came as a shock to her husband. He tried to reconcile, but ultimately divorced her to preserve his pride as an Eastern man. She even received threats after realizing he had made significant concessions to be with her.
The price of fame: abortion and the lost dream of motherhood
Ilham Shaheen's candor didn't stop at discussing marriage; she delved into a more sensitive and painful area: her decision to forgo motherhood. The actress confessed to having two abortions ; the first during her first marriage, and the second during her subsequent marriage. She attributed this difficult decision to her lack of marital stability, her fear of raising children in a troubled and stressful environment, and her desire not to sacrifice her artistic career.
Ilham revealed the bitter internal conflict she endured between her innate desire to be a mother and her professional ambitions and fear of failing as a parent. She mentioned that her mother suffered deep sorrow because of these decisions, as she longed to have grandchildren. She also noted that her first husband tried to force her to retire from acting and devote herself to the home and children, which she categorically refused, prioritizing her career over her married life, ultimately leading to their divorce.
Public debate and the impact of statements
These statements bring renewed attention to sensitive issues in Arab society, where discussions about "women's right to divorce" and "voluntary abortion" are taboo subjects rarely addressed so openly by public figures. Ilham Shaheen is one of the most prominent actresses of her generation, known for her bold stances and staunch defense of women's freedom and independence, both through her film roles that tackled important social issues and through her personal opinions.
The interview sparked a sharp division of opinions. While some in the audience saw her candor as reflecting strength of character and a realistic approach to difficult life choices, others considered her statements shocking and contrary to prevailing norms, particularly regarding the issue of abortion. What remains certain is that Elham Shaheen continues to be a formidable figure in the artistic and media landscape, consistently capable of igniting debates about the complex relationship between art and private life.
