The Saudi Film Festival, organized by the Cinema Association in partnership with the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) and with the support of the Film Commission, will honor artist Ibrahim Al-Hasawi, whose artistic career spans more than four decades, beginning at the Culture and Arts Association Theater in Al-Ahsa in the early eighties, and extending to the stages of the theater, television screens, and cinema, during the period from April 17 to 23.
This honor comes not as a fleeting celebratory moment, but as part of an integrated program that honors the experience, documents the impact, and presents the honored figure as part of the festival's narrative and the memory of Saudi art.
The program includes a documentary about the honoree on opening day, the release of a book chronicling her life, a panel discussion reviewing her artistic milestones, and a book signing session that allows the public to meet the artist up close and discuss her life and experience.
In celebration of Al-Hasawi’s career, the festival is publishing a special book entitled “Ibrahim Al-Hasawi… From the Village Theater to the World Screen,” prepared by journalist and writer Jafar Omran, which documents Al-Hasawi’s human and artistic biography. A documentary film will also be shown, highlighting aspects of his personality and his extensive experience.

On the second day of the festival, a panel discussion will be held at the Production Market stage, highlighting Ibrahim Al-Hasawi's artistic milestones and his contributions to supporting the film industry in the Kingdom.
