The sun's rays had begun to send forth their thick, dark, black threads through the clouds that morning; the weather changed, and the snow began to fall

The sun's rays, which appeared thick and dark through the clouds that morning, were beginning to cast their shadows. The weather had changed, and the snow had begun to melt, turning the earth to mud, around which accumulated the debris left by passersby. The sunlight was faint, filtering through the window opening onto the small balcony overlooking the courtyard. Car horns blared, announcing the start of a new day of human activity, as usual, and the clouds began to thicken, plunging the sky into darkness outside, just as the gloom was beginning to thicken inside as well.

Tariq was alone in the bedroom, packing his suitcase. His face showed signs of fatigue from a sleepless night during which he hadn't closed his eyes for a moment…

Suad entered, furious, her face showing signs of anger. She stood at the door, repeating, "Now you can leave, the streets are full of people." He didn't utter a word and continued as if replying to her, while holding up his bag of clothes:

God will finally relieve me of the ten years of humiliation and degradation I endured with you…

He finished gathering his clothes, and then she added:

"How mean you were to me! You didn't let me taste a moment of happiness with you. How much I sacrificed for you!" She turned around, putting her hands on her face, and burst into tears. Between her fingers, she saw a picture of their only son in front of him. He was about to take it, but she was faster than him and snatched it from his hands. "You have no right to anything concerning my life.".

"Is this my son or the neighbor's son?" he said, surprised. "I will take her and him with her. He is my son and my right.".

He buttoned his suit, fastened his tie, picked up his bag of clothes in his left hand, and headed to the child's bedroom…

She stood in the hallway leading to the small kitchen, holding the baby; their son was fast asleep…

"Don't wake the child and get out!" she shouted at him

I'm leaving with my son; I won't leave him with you…

The sound grew louder. The child woke up to a nightmare. Perhaps it never occurred to him to see nightmares in reality, as he was only used to watching funny cartoons whose heroes were made of paper. As for the nightmare being in reality, that was something his childlike imagination had not yet reached, just as his horizon had not reached the point of seeing a picture of his parents in a scene of quarreling and fighting over him

I will take it…

– It's my right, leave the child alone, he's mine…

Each of them reached out his hand towards him, while fear and anxiety dominated the child's face.

I told you to leave him alone, you madman…

I will take the child…

She replied, "You wouldn't touch it if you saw the nipples of your ears?"

He threw the bag from his hand, grabbed it with both hands, and shook it: “Don’t let me commit a crime against you. May God curse the hour I married you.”.

She replied, "You did everything you could to track down my shoes, and how much I tried to accept you. I'm disgusted by you. I hate my life with you. Get out of my house..."

I will go out with my son. I will go out.

She replied, "You won't take it..."

And in Surah Al-Ghadab, the parents held together….

The child took refuge behind his mother's back. The father pulled the mother forward, snatched the child from his hand, and the mother grabbed a knife that was on the table: she would not take the child.

– Put that knife away, don't be silly, I told you: I'll take it…

"He will only leave with you over my dead body," she cried, her voice rising. She was about to stab him with the knife, but he grabbed her hand and slammed her palm against a pane of glass, forcing her to drop the knife. Blood gushed from her palm…

The child, frightened, climbed to the open window in a panicked movement, only to fall to the ground amidst the parents' shock. They rushed to the stairs, racing to reach the street, which had transformed into a scene of mourning, as passersby gathered around the lifeless child…

While the father's grief had rendered him speechless in the face of the horror of the scene, the mother's hand was still bleeding without her feeling any pain.

Menna Fadali: The secret behind the abortion and the final break with her father

Egyptian actress Menna Fadali sparked widespread controversy after making bold statements revealing previously undisclosed aspects of her personal life during an appearance on the program "Mirror" with journalist Khaled Farag. Fadali discussed her past decision to undergo an abortion and announced that she had severed all ties with her father, leading to extensive discussions on social media platforms.

The decision to have an abortion and the regret that follows

Menna Fadali revealed that she had undergone an abortion earlier in her life. She explained that this difficult decision was not related to her ex-husband, but rather stemmed from her personal conviction that she was not ready to take on the responsibility of motherhood at that time. She justified her stance by saying, “Bringing a child into the world is a huge responsibility for which I wasn’t prepared, and I wasn’t psychologically or age-appropriately ready to shoulder the responsibility of motherhood at that stage.”.

Context and importance of the statement

Abortion is a sensitive and controversial issue in Arab societies, surrounded by complex religious and social considerations. Public figures rarely speak openly about such personal experiences. Therefore, Fadali's statement sparked public interest, reflecting courage in addressing a personal matter that could expose her to criticism, while simultaneously opening a discussion about the psychological and social pressures women face. Despite affirming that the decision was right at the time, Fadali admitted that she began to feel regret later in life. She attributed this to her maturation and changing outlook on life over the years, saying, "I can't say for sure what decision I would make if I could go back in time," thus illustrating the internal conflict she experienced.

Final break with the father

In another part of the interview, Fadali announced her firm decision to completely and permanently sever ties with her father. She explained that this decision stemmed from his complete absence from her life since her birth and his failure to fulfill any paternal role towards her throughout her life.

Background of the strained relationship

Fadali confirmed that she had given her father numerous opportunities to mend the relationship and start afresh, but all her attempts failed. She described her persistent feelings toward him as an “escape from responsibility,” noting a clear disparity in the way she was treated compared to her half-siblings. She said, “My father was never present in any significant event in my life, whether educational, health-related, or social, and I received no support from him.” In a culture that highly values family ties, Menna Fadali’s decision to sever her relationship with her father is a bold and unconventional step. This announcement sheds light on a reality experienced by some families, where the absence of a parent profoundly impacts the lives of their children. She emphasized that she would only fulfill her “social obligation” should anything happen to him, without any personal feelings, saying, “If something happens to him, I will do what is required of me, nothing more,” reflecting the depth of the rift in their relationship.

Menna Fadali's statements reveal a deep and candid human side of her personality, far removed from the spotlight and fame. By sharing these painful experiences, Fadali presents herself as someone unafraid to confront her past, which may inspire others going through similar circumstances and underscores that the lives of celebrities are not always as perfect as they seem.

Samah Anwar case: Interior Ministry reveals the truth about her prison sentence

Widespread controversy on social media: Samah Anwar recounts her detention

Egyptian actress Samah Anwar sparked controversy on social media after posting a video describing her experience of being "unjustly detained" at a traffic department. Anwar stated that she was in the process of completing her car registration when she was surprised to find her vehicle impounded and stopped. This prompted her to share the incident with her followers, leading to the story spreading rapidly and eliciting a range of reactions, from sympathy to questions about the veracity of the events.

The Ministry of Interior clarifies the facts: The artist is wanted for the execution of court rulings

The controversy didn't last long before the Egyptian Ministry of Interior issued a decisive official statement revealing the legal basis for the actions taken. The statement confirmed that the actress Samah Anwar was wanted in connection with two cases; the first involved a final court ruling sentencing her to three months in prison, while the second concerned another ruling imposing a fine. The Ministry explained that the procedure carried out at the traffic unit was a routine application of the law, conducted when checking citizens' data against criminal databases, which revealed that the actress was wanted for the execution of these rulings.

The rule of law is above all: no discrimination or arbitrariness

The Ministry of Interior stressed in its statement that all measures taken were within a sound legal framework, without any arbitrariness or discrimination. It affirmed that the principle of the rule of law applies to all citizens without exception, regardless of their fame or social standing. The Ministry called on the media and the public to exercise caution and not be swayed by unreliable information circulating on social media, emphasizing the importance of relying on official sources to prevent the spread of rumors and false news that could influence public opinion.

Celebrity cases and justice: A mirror of societal awareness

This incident once again highlights the issue of public opinion's reaction to legal cases involving public figures. In the digital age, social media has become a primary arena for shaping initial narratives, but these narratives still require scrutiny and verification by official authorities. Such cases test the extent to which society understands the importance of distinguishing between personal sympathy for a beloved artist and the necessity of respecting judicial rulings and applying the law equally to all, a cornerstone of any modern state. The impact of such events extends beyond the artist, touching upon broader discussions about transparency and justice.

The legal process continues: opposition and appeal

In a subsequent development, the legal team representing actress Samah Anwar took action. Her lawyer filed an appeal against her three-month prison sentence and also submitted a request to appeal the fine imposed in the other case. These steps are part of the normal legal process that allows defendants to challenge their sentences, and she has been released pending these proceedings. The matter now rests with the judiciary to decide on these appeals, confirming that the final decision will be made by the courts.
