The Saudi-Yemeni Cultural Days, held under the slogan “Global Harmony” and organized by the Ministry of Information in partnership with the General Entertainment Authority, concluded yesterday (Wednesday) in Al-Suwaidi Park in the capital, Riyadh.

Over the past four days, the event has witnessed an unexpected turnout. According to information, the number of visitors on a single day exceeded 120,000 visitors from Saudi families, Yemeni residents, and others. The event featured artistic, cultural, and folkloric exhibitions with different rhythms and popular dishes such as rice, hanith, salta, and various types of spices grown in Yemen, as well as a display of fashions, jewelry (silver), and their various designs, as well as Yemeni agate.

Artists presented Saudi and Yemeni artistic performances, in addition to daily dance performances, especially the Tarab (Daf) dance, which are Yemeni folk dances that vary according to the regions of Yemen, such as the Sana'ani dance, the Lahji dance, the Adeni dance, the Hadrami dance, and the Ma'ribi dance.

The artistic performances presented by a number of Yemeni and Saudi artists received great attention from the large audience, who remained until the end of the event amidst great applause and joy. Artist Salah Al-Mahdi presented a number of songs, while artist Mahyoub Zuhairi amazed the audience with a number of enthusiastic songs, and artist Ammar Al-Azki presented a number of songs at the conclusion of the event.

Throughout the four days, the events included a presentation of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen projects, and an explanation to visitors about these projects and the great efforts that Saudi Arabia is making in Yemen. The officials in charge of the exhibition also distributed brochures explaining the size of these projects and their humanitarian and service importance.

The Saudi-Yemeni cultural events come as a confirmation of the deep fraternal ties between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, and as a demonstration of the strength of the spirit of cultural and artistic communication, especially since the cultural patterns and popular dishes between the two countries are similar and perhaps completely identical.

During the four days, on the sidelines of the event, exhibitions were held for coffee with dates and honey of various types, Saudi and Yemeni, and a live demonstration of how to prepare coffee, which was very popular with visitors.

The Yemeni media delegations visiting Riyadh to participate in the event emphasized the spirit of brotherly relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, stressing that Saudi efforts to revive Yemeni heritage do not focus on supporting its development inside Yemen, but rather went to promoting and marketing this ancient heritage by hosting Yemeni events inside the Kingdom. This event is just one of dozens of cultural events that the Kingdom holds to enhance the spirit of communication between the two brotherly peoples.

It is worth noting that the initiative to enhance communication with residents, launched by the Ministry of Information in partnership with the General Entertainment Authority under the slogan “Global Harmony”, aims to support cultural rapprochement and positive interaction between citizens and residents, within the framework of its efforts to provide an integrated and rich cultural environment that brings together different segments of society and promotes tolerance and love among peoples.

The Saudi News Network first launched on Twitter via its official account, @SaudiNews50, and quickly became one of the Kingdom's leading independent news sources, thanks to its fast and reliable coverage of major local and international events. Due to the growing trust of its followers, the network expanded by launching its website, a comprehensive news platform offering regularly updated content in the fields of politics, economics, health, education, and national events, presented in a professional style that meets the public's expectations. The network strives to enhance public awareness and provide accurate information in a timely manner through on-the-ground reporting, in-depth analysis, and a specialized editorial team, making it a trusted source for anyone seeking up-to-the-minute Saudi news.
