The Madinah branch of the Saudi Journalists Association organized a workshop entitled “Breaking News: Between Exclusivity and Credibility,” presented by media professional and trainer Hatem Al-Rahili, as part of a series of workshops implemented by the branch to develop media skills and improve the quality of journalistic content.

The workshop witnessed a remarkable turnout of journalists, media professionals, and media students in a professional meeting characterized by interaction and high-quality presentations, and emphasized that journalistic work is no longer dependent on who publishes first, but rather on who achieves and hits the target.

The meeting opened with an introductory presentation on the concept of breaking news, presented by trainees Raghad Al-Marwani and Areej Al-Munawwar, in a step that reflects the branch’s keenness to involve the new generation in real-world experiences that refine their skills and connect them directly to the media field.

The workshop focused on key themes including the ethics of publishing in breaking news, the importance of verifying the source, and distinguishing between information and rumors, in addition to analyzing examples of breaking news that sparked widespread controversy and were circulated by platforms without verification.

The meeting was also distinguished by the presentation of practical scenarios that simulated real editorial situations, through which the trainer tested the participants’ ability to make decisions at critical times, and to distinguish between what should be published immediately and what requires waiting and review.

At the conclusion of the workshop, the director of the Authority’s branch in Madinah, Emad Al-Saadi, expressed his gratitude to the participants, praising the interaction and interest he witnessed in professional content, stressing that such events raise awareness and promote a culture of balance between speed of publication and accuracy of information in a time when platforms are numerous and editorial oversight is absent from many publishing outlets.

He expressed his gratitude to trainer Hatem Al-Rahili for the clear practical and scientific content he provided, praising his method of simplifying concepts and presenting them practically. He also appreciated the hosting of the Sons and Creativity Private Schools, represented by Executive Director Abdullah Al-Sharif, and their keenness to support media initiatives within the branch’s community partnerships.

The Saudi Healthcare Model 2026 Forum kicks off in Riyadh tomorrow

The third edition of the "Saudi Healthcare Model 2026 Forum" will commence tomorrow, Tuesday, in Riyadh, the capital. Organized by Health Holding Company, the forum will be held under the patronage and in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Health and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Health Holding Company, Mr. Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel. The two-day event (February 10 and 11, 2026) will take place at the Princess Nouf bint Abdulaziz International Conference Center in the Sofitel Riyadh Hotel, marking a pivotal moment in the Kingdom's healthcare transformation journey.

The context of health transformation and Vision 2030

This forum comes at a strategic time, reflecting the maturity of the outcomes of the Health Sector Transformation Program, one of the most prominent programs of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. This ambitious program aims to restructure the health sector into a comprehensive, efficient, and integrated healthcare system based on the health of the individual and the community (including citizens, residents, and visitors). The "healthcare model" is the cornerstone of this transformation, shifting services from a focus on pain and treatment in hospitals to a focus on prevention and promoting public health outside the walls of traditional facilities.

Excellence Awards and Pioneer Recognition

The forum is set to honor more than 15 winners for their excellence in implementing the model systems over the past year. The awards include several categories, most notably the "Gold Award," which will be given to one winner who has achieved exceptional overall performance across clinical pathways and demonstrated a lasting impact. Other awards include the "Healthcare Systems Award" for outstanding implementation of the six systems (preventive, elective, safe delivery, emergency, chronic, and palliative), and the "Impact Maker Award" for initiatives that have enhanced quality of life and community health.

A platform for exchanging experiences and anticipating the future

The forum's scientific sessions are of paramount importance, bringing together a select group of healthcare leaders, decision-makers, and local and international experts. Discussions will focus on showcasing real-world success stories in implementing the model through integration among healthcare entities, and addressing the challenges and opportunities for translating strategic visions into tangible and measurable health impacts, thus reinforcing the Kingdom's position as a leading regional model in modernizing healthcare systems.

The role of Health Holding in enhancing quality of life

It is worth noting that the Health Holding Company is leading this initiative through its oversight of 20 health clusters covering all regions of the Kingdom. The company is implementing a human-centered care model, prioritizing prevention over treatment. This approach facilitates access to services, reduces waiting times, and improves spending efficiency, directly contributing to the Vision's goals of increasing life expectancy and enhancing the quality of life for the population. Launch of the comprehensive service center system at the Ministry of Interior 2026

In a strategic move reflecting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commitment to developing its government services infrastructure, Deputy Minister of Interior, Prince Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf, inaugurated today the Ministry of Interior's comprehensive service centers system. This significant announcement was made on the sidelines of the World Defence Exhibition 2026, hosted by Riyadh, which serves as a global platform for showcasing the latest developments in security and service sectors.

A new concept for government services under one roof

The new system represents a radical transformation in how services are provided to citizens, residents, and visitors alike. The initiative primarily aims to consolidate all services from the various sectors of the Ministry of Interior into a single location, eliminating the need to travel between different departments to complete transactions. These centers rely on re-engineering procedures and streamlining processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality services characterized by speed and accuracy, in accordance with the highest international standards adopted in the public services sector.

The system is characterized by its advanced technological and human integration, aiming to activate self-service centers supported by the latest electronic technologies, enabling users to complete their transactions automatically and with complete ease. To ensure service comprehensiveness, direct access channels to unified call centers have been provided, in addition to deploying "roving representatives" in reception areas to provide immediate support and facilitate access to information desks, thus guaranteeing a smooth and convenient user experience from the moment of entry until the service is completed.

Vision context and digital transformation

The launch of this system is not an isolated event, but rather an integral part of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 objectives, specifically within the Quality of Life Program and the National Digital Transformation Programs. The Ministry of Interior has always been at the forefront of adopting digital solutions, and these comprehensive centers complement the successes achieved by digital platforms such as "Absher," by providing a hybrid work environment that combines digital efficiency with exceptional in-person service for those who need to visit branches.

Strategic importance and expected impact

The launch of these centers carries significant implications at both the local and regional levels, underscoring the Kingdom's leadership in smart government and the development of logistical and administrative services. This system is expected to substantially reduce transaction processing times, enhance customer satisfaction, and boost operational efficiency by consolidating resources into unified centers instead of dispersing them. Furthermore, the choice of the World Defence Exhibition 2026 as the launch venue reflects the message that security, in its comprehensive sense, also encompasses information security and the seamless delivery of civil services provided by the Ministry to the public.
